Something That Was Made To Last

Ever wondered what happened to those guys back in high school? Even those pips back in college?

It’s been three years since you first set out for that great world of providence where graduates roam in search for their own identity. You’ve done this and that until you finally saw how different things have become since the first time you step out of school, with a big smile on your face and diploma on hand. Yet there’s this question that lingered in your head. Where is that guy who had helped you back then when things went a little awry at times? What happened to him and how’s he these days? With social networking at hand getting in touch is easier, but what if he’s simply not there, not in every site you looked for.

All you have is a phone number. Yes you’ve been in constant contact with each other yet it came to a stop, suddenly, that you start to worry. One moment you were making jokes then there was no reply from the other end.

People tend to worry when friends stop calling so suddenly. At first you try to think if you’ve said something to offend him, then when you realize there’s none. It just stops that there’s nothing you can do but worry. You try to think of using a phone number reverse service, which sounds like a good idea at a time, but you start to think that would be too much. A phone number reverse would really take all the worries. It would be just like those mission impossible tracking so on and so forth. The power of GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) as you once studied in those Data communications class. Then you realize you just worry too much. It’s like you are doing a search criminal records on the web as easy as a click of a mouse.

Things move on in their own accord. There are times when we tend to let things be and let time dictate what will happen next, and like that friend always say whatever happens ”all you can do is be thankful”. Sooner or later life brings you face to face with old friends; share laughs with them, joke with them, learn about what they’ve up to lately, and see that things did change not for the worst but for the better through pre employment background checks.

Three years since you’ve last seen each other and just when you think it’s never going to happen you came across with chance. You heard someone call from behind. You turn around and saw a familiar smile. And you don’t care anymore whatever happened for you knew that the friendship you sown have reached maturity.
